Ok, we actually met at McDonald at 12noon ... I was late a bit as I went Chong Pang with my mum ... I planned to go straight away to the meeting point , but due to my carelessness of forgetting to take tongs ... I had to head home for the tongs ... ( Luckily, I got go back and take, if not I wonder how we going to cook ...)
When I reach McDonald, few of them Soki, Alvin, Junming and Rachael) were already there ... Not long after I reach, the rest (Grace, Yanfeng, Timothy and Willex )arrived ... We put all the bbqing things on Willex's lorry(it is not really a lorry but I don't know how to spell the actual name of that vehicle ...)
After Willex left with his Father's vehicle, the rest of us proceed with taking Bus 913 to Woodland Interchange ... At there we boarded Bus 966 to Marine Parade ... The trip take about an hour ... I sat with Soki ... In front of us were Grace and Timothy(Grace's cousin) ... Grace was unwrapping the birthday gift Timothy sent to her ... It was a Naruto froggy purse ... Haha, so nice of Timothy ...
Then after keeping the present, she played with her Ipod game (FYI, she bought Ipod just for playing games)... There was a game about math quiz and Soki played ... He actually broke the record ... Don't know within how many seconds he answer ?? questions correctly ...
At last we reached Marine Parade ... Then they said there were shuttle bus to near Parkway parade??? However, it was a mistake, it is actually shuttle bus to Parkway Parade not ECP... We then started discussing what to do next ... Either walk or take cab ... However, no one know how to walk to ECP ...
It was then, I said I know how to walk to ECP, by the memory from previous trip with Siti they all ... I was so afraid, I fear I would mislead the rest... Thank goodness, the route wasn't that hard to recall ... We walk through the underpass ... Then reach ECP and walk quite a distance to the pit ...
When we reach, Willex was there setting up tent ... It is a big one for eight person ... I try to help a little, since it is boring to just sit and do nothing ... When the tent is done, we put our bags inside ... Then they went to take photo on a nearby tree ... I heard it was a pong pong tree(the fruits is poisonous de) ??? Somehow, it look kind of weird for people to plant plants in a park that has poisonous fruit ...
After finish shooting their pose at the tree, they went to rent bicycle ... I was there to look after our belonging ... In the end only Rachael and Junming rented bicycles ... As the rental price isn't cheap ... Then we started to light the fire ... Not actually we, is just Grace who was so anxious to do it ... Since Grace was so excited to do it, we let her loh ... She keep saying that this was her first time starting up fire for BBQ ...
Somehow she was like to excited till she said so wrongly ... >> this is my first time ... this is my first time ...
She got amend after some commented that it sound so misleading ... >>> this is my first time starting fire ...
When the fire is lighted, we (me, Grace, Soki and Alvin) unwrap the plastic for the food ... Then using to skewer/ satay stick we prepare the food, just so that it is easy to cook (so we won't need to take the raw food with tongs)... And when it is all done ... Cooking time !!!
hmmm.... Mostly, the cooking will done by willex ... Especially the squid and chicken wing(since these foods require more time to cook) ... Anyway, the chicken wing were marinated by Willex and prawns by Soki ... Other than that, Soki also got prepare button mushroom ... Which was rather appealing ... U can even find us fighting for cooked button mushrooms ... haha ... they did cook the button mushrooms with prawns ... They said the taste was nice, as the mushroom got the a little bit of prawn taste ... I don't know if it is nice, I didn't eat that ... I guess was playing at the beach ... But sound delicious to me from how they said ...
O ya, most of us were playing a bit at the beach, writing or drawing on the beach with stick ... haha ... Then taking photo of the waves for fun ... And have a little bit of the three different alcoholic rum Junming and Rachael brought ... I like the peach the most ... Though all taste weird, cos is mixture of sweet and bitter ... Guess that is what all alcohol drink taste like bah, heard from those who drank usually ...
Then cycle with Soki cos they going to return the bike soon ... We actually had a small race, but he cheat de loh !!! Nevertheless, it is still fun ... We sat together at seats, chat, joke and laugh ... Haha ... Then wanted to play the Truth or Dare ... but end up didn't... As me and Grace went to the nearby toilet to fit the empty drink bottle ... so that if want to drink or wash hand don't need walk so far ... When we return, they already stop playing liao ...
Then when it is like 5.30pm or later, Willex and Yanfeng gathered some dry wood found under the nearby trees for the camp fire ... When we are in complete darkness, we lighted up the wood ... Willex and rest came up with the ideas of using butter to light up the fire faster ... Then later part of the night, I suddenly recalled that I actually brought some sweet potatoes ... One look like rugby ball shape and another look like pear ...
The rugby ball shaped sweet potatoes was break into half ... Guess how we breaking without knife ??? I think it was Alvin that came up with the idea of using the tong to poke a few holes then break it into half ... Haiz, my turn out to be completely burned !!! Only a small piece wasn't burn ... The taste is mixture of sweet and sour, and even bitter for the burn part ...
And it was dessert time, we had marsh mallow !!! haha ... I like the taste of the heated marsh mallow ... I especially like the melted part ... I guess it will taste even great if there is chocolate to dip on... lol ... When we almost done, Willex said his father going to fetch him, Grace asked if there are anymore seats ... And there are but not sufficient to fix all eight of us at the back of the lorry(Willex sat in front, the rest of us sat at the back) ... Junming and Rachael left first, as there isn't enough seat for all of us so sorry... After Willex cook finish all the food, we packed up and went into the tent to wait for Willex's father to come ... Some was already inside of the tent telling ghost stories ...
Then around 12 ? Instead of Willex's father, his brother came ... 6 of us sat at the back ... We had so much fun ... Cos Alvin kept waving to air particles ... Then Grace's hair was in a big mess cos of the strong wind ... It was freezing cold for me when the vehicle moves ... Soki alighted at Admiralty station, follow by me, Yanfeng, Grace and Timothy ... Alvin alight the last cos he live near Willex house ...
After bathing... Dried my hair ... I fall asleep as soon as I touch my pillow ... It was a fun and tiring day ... Alright, Photo session for now !!!
