I went straight to Vivocity to join my mum and relative (to be specific, it would be my mum, 2nd aunt, 3rd aunt, 4th aunt, 2nd uncle, des and 3rd aunt's younger son, Jia Rui ) ... When I met them, they were at the book store ... They bought some bags and wallets ... Then went for dinner at the Imperial Herbal as a Birthday celebration for my 3rd aunt ... Haha, the food was quite ok ... We had soups for first dish ??? I was away to buy something so when I reach the restaurant they were drinking soups ... Which I suppose was the first dish ...
Then we had the Chinese Wolf berry (gou qi zi) vegetable(the vegetable was the the wolf berry plant cooked with the wolf berry) ... The gou qi is actually Chinese herbs that is normally used for soup ... This red small thing taste sweet ... But the vegetable of this sweet thing taste so bitter !!! The adult said eat more gou qi for good eyesight ... Especially those who are wearing spectacle ... Below is how the Chinese wolf berry look like ... It is very small, smaller than marble (took this diagram from the web)...
Next was fried rice ... Then was seafood beehoon ... Des ate the most prawn ... If you will there you could have seem his plate full of red prawn shell ... Then we had fried bun ... They had steam bun but we prefer fried bun ... Though eating it plainly isn't that bad, still I would prefer dipping it with sauce or gravy(Especially the chilli crab sauce) ...
The last dish was the desserts ... We had one that is very memorable to me ... It was actually fried sweet potato and yam with the malt sugar candy (麦芽糖) ... Before the dish is serve, 3 bowls of ice water was first given to us ...
Then when the dish was being serve, the waitress and waiter was shouting faster,faster put the food into the water ... And all of us was rather dumbfounded ... We follow one of the waiter who use Jia Rui chopsticks to help us ... Haha we all agree that among all the dishes, the dessert was the most fun and agitated one ...
Individually, I had Chinese herbal jelly (龟苓膏) which is serve with honey ... It taste bitter if you had without honey ... It is said to be good for skin complexion when ingested ... For me I prefer the Chinese Herbal Jelly at the Bugis near Guai Yin temple ... Jia Rui had the sour sop pudding ... And when he finish his, he was looking at mine dessert ... Gave him a bit and he wanted more ... haha ... Probably cause there is honey ...
After we paid the bill, we were given a $10 voucher to consult their shop's consultant ... My mum went for the consulting ... Oh yeah, another interesting thing is the chair for 4 person look so cute !!! Haha, it is shaped like hand with diagram of Disney cartoon character ...
While waiting for my mum, we went sat on the bench while Jia Rui sat on the massage machine ... Haha ... Then we went Daiso, I wanted to buy the Oolong tea bags but it was out of stock ... My aunt bought some other tea like the Apple tea bags and Lemon tea bags ...
Then shopping in hyper mart ... And saw this tomato that look so fake !!! LOL, it look so much like the decoration fruits ...
And then it was home sweet home ... We trained to Dhoby Ghaut and parted with 3rd aunt and Jia Rui ... Then parted with 2nd aunt, 4th aunt and uncle at Ang Mo Kio ... Think they still want to shop at the NTUC ... Oh yeah, one photo of Jia Rui helping his mum to carry things on the train...
Hehe, gotten one bell shaped Japanese pancake ... (铜锣烧, pronounced as tong luo shao ) If you watched the Doraemon , you would know that this is the Favourite food of Doraemon ... Haha ... So I smsed Ros about this since she like to watch the show ... And she reply saying I also can be Doraemon ... But I told her that I am not blue/white and round in shape ... Yet she say she can help to rechape and repaint me ... LOL
